Summit Details

  • Duration: The summit spans one week, with two days dedicated to an educational and cultural conference/hackathon, followed by an opportunity to travel around Jordan.

  • Participants: Approximately 160 attendees, including 125 participants, 25 staff members, and 10 leadership team members.

  • Activities: Structured discussions moderated by EASU leadership and qualified volunteers, focusing on key challenges and opportunities for Arab youth in Europe.

  • What’s included: Meal plan, accommodation for 5 nights and transportation in Jordan.

  • Price: 300 euros per person. (To be paid after the conference confirmation on June 1st)

Forums Overview

The conference includes five distinct forums, each targeting critical issues relevant to the MENA region and its youth

Environmental Sustainability and Climate Change

Discussions on sustainable practices, renewable energy, and climate change mitigation specific to the MENA region.

Youth Employment and Entrepreneurship

Focus on career opportunities, job creation, and entrepreneurship to tackle employment challenges faced by young Arabs.

Cultural Heritage and Identity

Dedicated to preserving Arab cultural heritage and promoting a strong sense of identity amidst modernity.

Women Empowerment in the MENA Region

Addresses the barriers Arab women face in education and the workforce, highlighting success stories and empowerment strategies.

Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution

Promotes dialogue among youth on resolving conflicts and building peace, encouraging active political participation and policy-making involvement.

Itinerary

Day 1

Arrival in Queen Alia International Airport and be transported to the Hilton Resort in the Dead Sea. Upon your arrival to the resort you will be provided with the week long schedules by the EASU Leadership team. There will then be a member dinner for all the members to socialize on day one.

Day 2

The second day of the trip will be the first day of the conference in the King Hussein bin Talal Conventional Centre. The members will first get an introduction to the EASU, followed by presentations by the Keynote speakers and a chance to network with one another. At night the members will be taken to Samara Mall and will get free time to do things at the hotel.

Day 3

The third day will be the final day of the conference, members will have discussions with their groups of their respective forums and come up with a solution that they will be presenting at the end of the day. They will also be visited by specialists in those fields and speakers will talk about their personal experiences in the field. At night students will have dinner and a night time activity.

Day 4

On day four, members will be treated to a visit to Petra and an overnight stay in Wadi Rum. The day will commence with a private transport from the Dead Sea to Petra, where members will have the opportunity to explore the ancient city. Following this, there will be transport arranged from Petra to Wadi Rum. Guests will be accommodated at Wadi Rum Bubbles, a unique lodging experience. The day will conclude with a dinner at the hotel and a mesmerizing stargazing activity under the clear desert sky.

Day 5

Day five of the itinerary continues the adventure in Wadi Rum with further exploration via camel rides and jeep safaris, immersing members in the desert's natural beauty. Afterwards, private transportation will be provided for the journey from Wadi Rum back to Amman. The evening will be marked by a special activity and a closing dinner in Amman, providing a fitting end to the day's experiences.

Day 6

On the sixth and final day of the conference, transport will be provided for the members from the hotel in Amman to Queen Alia International Airport for their flights back to their respective countries.
